Who we are
WIIS Brussels is led by an energetic team of volunteers who form the Steering Committee (SC). The SC is responsible for the organisation of the activities of the association and its daily functioning. It can be supported by our members willing to engage and collaborate more.

What do we do?
We foster women’s leadership by organising training workshops, mentoring, events and offer platforms to amplify women’s voices and expertise in security, defence and international relations.
We engage in the global WIIS community by establishing cooperation to advocate on women’s active role in security and defence, gender equality, women’s rights and women, peace and security.
Consultations on Security
Through our consultations on security, our members have the opportunity to discuss with primary actors their perceptions of security challenges in their local contexts and the world in an interactive way and safe space.
Mentoring
Our mentoring programme supports women in international relations, security, and defence through tailored professional development.
Events
From expert talks to networking sessions, our events foster knowledge sharing, dialogue, and professional connections.
Training workshops
We strengthen skills through workshops on security, defence, international affairs, and career development.
